Call for Indigenous Communities to Apply for $5 K Film Grant

Wednesday, 12 September 2012

Indigenous communities are invited to apply for a grant of $5 000 to tell their 3 – 5 minute story of community experiences of discrimination.

The Australian Human Rights Commission is currently running the Twenty Years: Twenty Stories documentary project to mark the 20th anniversary of the Disability Discrimination Act.

Twenty Years: Twenty Stories are inviting community organisations working with people with disability to share in this project and tell the stories of people who have used the Act to promote equal opportunity and challenge discrimination.

Expressions of Interests are sought from Indigenous communities with experience of discrimination to share an inspiring story for the Twenty Years: Twenty Stories project.

As part of this project film stories and projects may be profiled in the Twenty Years: Twenty Stories campaign which will feature on the Australian Human Rights Commission website and as part of a longer film to be screened publicly.

For further information on how to apply visit the Sydney Community Foundation website.
