Key Dates:

7 March 2014 (Competition closes)

OneSight and Ray-Ban are holding a competition to find an original and unique Indigenous artwork or design to be printed on a limited number of iconic Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses.

OneSight works with low-socio economic and Indigenous communities to provide free vision checks, glasses and ongoing vision. The funds raised from the sale of these limited edition sunglasses will go toward OneSight continuing and
developing their community program further.

The competition is open to emerging Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander artists, and the winning artwork will be reproduced:

  • On limited edition Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses with the artist's name printed on the inside arm
  • In full on a cleaning cloth included in the sunglass case, and the artist and artwork story recognised on the sunglass packaging insert

The winner will also receive:

  • Up to $10,000 in professional development of the artist's choice
  • A license fee for reproduction of the artwork

The artwork will also be displayed in a pop-up national exhibition to coincide with product launch.
