Call Out for Indigenous Community Stories

Wednesday, 23 January 2013

Key Dates:

1 March (Applications Due)

The Film & Television Institute (FTI) is calling for applications from Indigenous communities, families and individuals who are interested in recording, preserving and archiving the stories of their community members.

FTI will manage the Indigenous Community Stories (ICS) application and selection process, and then coordinate a film crew to visit the successful applicants' community, to film and digitally archive the stories.

Indigenous Community Stories is an initiative which is aiming to film 100 Western Australian Indigenous stories and digitally archive them for future generations to view over the next 100 years and beyond.

FTI is keen to hear from community coordinators or representatives who want to have their community's stories recorded.

The Indigenous Community Stories guidelines and the application form are available from the FTI website: www.fti.asn.au/make/icstories.

For further information or queries regarding completing the application or the ICS program in general, please contact the ICS team:

Taryne Laffar or Devina McPherson on (08) 9431 6700, or via email taryne_laffar@staff.fti.asn.au & devina_mcpherson@staff.fti.asn.au.
