Monday, 3 June 2013

Key Dates:

12 July (applications close)

These Australia Council grants support the Australian contemporary visual arts sector, including public and private galleries and individuals, to attend international visual art, design and craft fairs. This assists Australian contemporary artists to develop new international markets and audiences.

The Australia Council for the Arts has supported the international market development activities of galleries and industry associations since the International Visual Arts and Craft Funding Program began in 2005.

In 2010 the Australia Council launched Art Fare: Australian Art Export - an international fund to enhance artist representation at international art fairs. Art Fare aims to extend the market reputation, position and income diversification of Australian contemporary artists and galleries. In 2012 Art Fare: Australian Art Export was extended to include individuals attending art fairs without an exhibition stand.

You may request a contribution towards one or more of the following items to a maximum of $20,000 - freight, airfares, stand hire costs, promotion/catalogue and accommodation.

For $4,000 travel grant you may request costs for economy flights and accommodation only.
