Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Board Seeks New Board Members

Monday, 3 June 2013

Key Dates:

June 30 (applications close)

Art Centre Chairpersons or Managers with vision and a commitment to promoting Indigenous Arts Centres wanted for representation on
Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation Board.

The Darwin Aboriginal Arts Fair was established in 2007. Its key mission was to develop an event to promote and celebrate Indigenous art from art centres across Australia. In 2011-2012, the Foundation was established. This ensured that the ownership of the event remains in the hands of the art centres it represents.

The Darwin Aboriginal Arts Fair Foundation Board invites "Expressions of Interest" for Art Centre representatives, who could commit to contributing significantly to the development of the Fair as a national and international event. Board membership of the Darwin Aboriginal Arts Fair Foundation is a unique professional opportunity to provide support for indigenous art centres and develop an exciting national event in partnership with key stakeholders. Board positions will require a 24 month commitment.

If you are interested in contributing to the success of the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair please forward a two-page CV and a cover letter to: info@darwinaboriginalartfair.com.au.
