The Port Hedland Courthouse Gallery has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, professional and efficient Gallery Coordinator. The role of the Gallery Coordinator (GC) is the core of all gallery operations, taking responsibility for running the retail and exhibition administration as set out by and in collaboration with the Gallery Manager. The (GC) would coordinate the day to day and operational management of the Gallery, including customer service and sales.

Since 2007, the Courthouse Gallery has been a catalyst for cultural and creative development, boasting an impressive program of exhibitions, workshops, artist residencies and markets, as well as building community infrastructural development. As an advocate of creativity and culture, the Courthouse Gallery provides a platform for emerging and established artists living in regional and remote areas.

The Port Hedland Courthouse Gallery is managed by FORM, an independent, non-profit cultural organisation established in 1968 that develops and advocates for excellence in creativity and artistic practice in Western Australia.

Employment skills required:

  • Exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Client liaison and customer service experience.
  • A proactive approach to business and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft suite with a strictly perfectionist attitude to data entry.
  • Stock management experience.
  • The flexibility to meet the demands of exhibition planning and delivery.
  • Be immaculately presented and represent the Gallery in a positive manner.
  • Be enthusiastic and motivated.

This is a full time position, weekend work and events required (rotating 7 day roster).
