The Directors, Members and Artists of Tjungu Palya are looking for talented people to come work in the Tjungu Palya Art Centre.

Tjungu Palya means working together in a good and happy way. At the art centre, artists from the three communities of Kanpi, Nyapari and Watarru come together to paint to earn money to support their families.


$65,000 - $75,000 (base salary)

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a capacity to work effectively across cultures, and a genuine commitment to Indigenous self-determination. Strong management and analytical skills are essential for ensuring effective operations of Tjungu Palya Art Centre.


$55,000-$60,000 (base salary)

This role ensures the effective day-to-day studio operations and will work closely with artists and art workers to support their artistic and professional development, provide Art Centre administration support, studio management, social services support and project support as instructed by the Art Centre Business Manager.

Desart is the non-profit peak industry body for over forty Central Australian Aboriginal Art Centres, and the Tjungu Palya Arts Board of Directors has engaged Desart to assist them in the recruitment of their new Art Centre staff.
