Stories Art Money (SAM) Database training to be held in Perth on 01 & 02 March 2016.

This is a free workshop organised by AACHWA and open to
artsworkers from any WA Aboriginal art centre and non-Aboriginal
art centres, so long as they carry a similar ethos and have a focus
or interest in Indigenous Artists.

Please note each person is responsible for bringing their
own laptop, and for paying their own travel and accommodation
costs. Lunch is provided.

Proposed 2-day Schedule

Day 1

8.30am – registration, name tags

9am – Introductions, brief history of SAM, accessing SAM on

9.30am SAM Database training contents: Artists, Cataloguing,
Artworks, Consignments, Sales

Day 2

8.30am – start

Group 1 – Bronwyn Taylor will lead a breakaway workshop focused
on practicing cataloguing and sales. Included in the training will
be: Cataloguing, Artworks, Consignments, Sales, Admin &

Group 2 – Adam Griffiths will lead staff who want to work on the
financial and managerial aspects of SAM.  Included in
the training will be: Consignments, Accounts, Stocktake, Reports,
Admin, Setup, Security
