WORKSHOP | Professional Development for Teachers – Exploring Noongar Culture Through the Arts

Key Dates:

Friday 14 October 2016 (10:00am – 03:00pm)

Venue: Dance Studio, Bunbury Regional Art Galleries, Bunbury WA

This one-day workshop features a range of respected Noongar artists and speakers sharing their history, their culture and their story through the arts.

Teachers will have the opportunity to explore ways that
the arts can be used to deepen cultural understanding and increase
engagement across the Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as
the Arts through both practical arts workshops and engaging
discussions. Teachers will also deepen their own knowledge of
Noongar culture and art and how to teach it with sensitivity and
respect in the classroom.

Cost:  $60 (Free for teachers whose school is participating
in Iluka Visions 2016.)
