CALL FOR | Mundaring Arts Centre 2018 Exhibition Proposals

Wednesday, 19 April 2017

Key Dates:

Submissions due: Friday 16 June 2017 (5pm)

MAC places a high value on exhibitions that offer something new and stimulating to their local audience and encourage exhibition applications from emerging, mid-career and established artists across all disciplines and visual art forms, as well as curatorial proposals.

MAC attracts approximately 20,000 visitors per year with the
free to the public gallery open six days a week.

MAC is a not-for-profit community organisation that develops and
promotes high quality visual arts through a range of arts access
and education programs, community activities, exhibitions and
events. We aim to contribute to the cultural life of our region by
nurturing creative potential, supporting artists and encouraging
people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with the arts.

With MAC taking up management of the Midland Junction Arts
Centre (MJAC) this year, new opportunities for exhibitions and
events will be made possible in 2018.

MAC has two separate exhibition spaces which are
programmed concurrently throughout the year. Both spaces are
equipped with hanging rails and adjustable stainless steel

Gallery 1 (main gallery) has approximately 40 linear metres of
hanging space with a hanging height of 2.5m.

Gallery 2 has approximately 15 linear metres of hanging space
with a hanging height of 2.8m. Workshops, education programs and
talks also occur in Gallery 2 throughout the year.
