PARTICIPATE | Regional Galleries Forum (Mandurah Performing Arts Centre)

Forum date: Friday 04 November 2016 (9am – 5pm)

Presented by ART ON THE MOVE, the Regional Galleries Forum offers the opportunity to engage, collaborate, and discuss the key issues for regional art galleries in Western Australia.

This FREE event is a chance for members of the art community to
highlight key issues and opportunities in a collective forum.

The Regional Galleries Forum also brings together a range
of speakers and facilitators from the arts industry:

  • Ricky Arnold
    Freelance curator and facilitator for strategic planning
    initiatives, and Director of Development at DADAA.
  • George Walley – A Bindjareb Nyoongar person, a
    traditional owner, musician, songwriter, culture teacher and
    Nyoongar language teacher, working in the health area at Nidjalla
    Waangan Mia Health and Wellbeing Centre.
  • Colin Walker – A/Executive Director Arts
    Development at the West Australian State Government’s Department of
    Culture and the Arts (DCA).
  • Robert Heather – Director of the New England
    Regional Art Museum in Armidale NSW.
  • Guy Boyce – General Manager of the Mandurah
    Performing Arts Centre.
  • Indra Geidans – Artist, Visual Arts Officer
    for City of Albany, and a board member of ART ON THE MOVE.
  • Miik Green – Artist and chair of Artsource,
    the peak visual arts body in Western Australia.

Limited travel subsidies are being offered for those
travelling from regional areas and is provided on a ‘first come
first serve’-
basis. Travel subsidy requests are
included in the Registration Form.
Successful
applicants will be notified by Friday 07 October 2016.
