The Our Future Aboriginal Arts Worker Training Program supports Aboriginal arts workers living in regional and remote areas of WA to develop new skills and expand their arts sector knowledge.
The program participants were: Leonie Bennett & Jade Butler representing Tjarlirli & Kaltukatjara Art, Shontae Charles representing Mowanjum Aboriginal Art & Culture , Marrika Gilla representing Ku’arlu Mangga (Good Nest) and Dylan Kerley representing Yamaji Art.
During the two-week program on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar (Boorloo/Perth) participants had the opportunity to learn from, tour and explore some of Perth’s top arts and cultural institutions.
We thank our valued partners WA Museum and Art Gallery of WA (AGWA) for their continued support of the Our Future program.
We also thank the following organisations and arts professionals for being part of our November 2022 program: Holmes à Court Gallery, Dandjoo Darbalung, Juluwarlu Art Group, Goolugatup Heathcote Gallery, Fremantle Art Centre, Turid Calgaret and Dr Perdita Phillips.
The program is proudly supported by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) through the Regional Arts and Cultural Investment Program (RACIP) and is delivered in partnership with North Metropolitan TAFE.
